The eligibility criteria for SSC CHSL (10+2) Examination are as follows:

Age Limit: The candidate must be between 18 to 27 years of age.

Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board.

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.


The syllabus of SSC CHSL (10+2) Examination is as follows:

General Intelligence: Analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding, and decoding, statement conclusion, etc.

English Language: Spotting errors, fill in the blanks, synonyms and antonyms, spelling/detecting mis-spelt words, idioms and phrases, one-word substitution, improvement of sentences, active/passive voice of verbs, conversion into direct/indirect narration, etc.

Quantitative Aptitude: Number systems, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentage, ratio and proportion, average, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of tables and graphs, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and time, time and work, etc.

General Awareness: History, culture, geography, economic scene, general policy, scientific research, etc.

Selection Process:

The selection process of SSC CHSL (10+2) Examination is as follows:

Tier-I: Candidates who qualify for Tier-I exam are eligible to appear for the Tier-II exam.

Tier-II: Candidates who qualify for the Tier-II exam are eligible for the Tier-III exam.

Tier-III: The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in Tier-I and Tier-II exams.


The salary of candidates selected through SSC CHSL (10+2) Examination varies based on the post they are selected for. The salary ranges from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 81,100 per month (approx).
